Whether you’re planning a holiday abroad, or a short UK trip, having insurance protection in the event of cancellation, a medical emergency, or lost personal belongings* provides peace of mind for these unforeseen costs or expenses arising. We can arrange policies for single trip (trip-travel, short and longer durations) and annual multi-trip policies, as well as policies for those who are choosing to backpack around a number of destinations.
Our Personal Lines team can assist you with arranging your cover, tailoring the durations, selecting winter or sports extensions which may be required, as well as providing the advice on cover in respect of choosing the right time to purchase the cover, family cover, and what discount may be available if you already have baggage and money cover on your home insurance.
We’re happy to provide quotations by phone, so why not contact our office today, to get a competitive quotation with the quality, advice and service you expect from the team here at Willis IRM.
*terms & conditions apply for these perils, the wording is available on request.
Are you having difficulty in obtaining competitive travel insurance cover due to Pre-existing Medical Conditions?
We believe the travel insurance policies arranged by us will largely assist with common declared pre-existing medical conditions, and it is extremely important that you advise the travel insurer medical screening services about pre-existing medical conditions for you and/or your travelling companion(s), AND pre-existing medical conditions of a relative who may not be travelling, but for which you may need to cancel or curtail your trip. There can be circumstances where a pre-existing medical condition may result in application of exclusions of cover, or on occasion significant additional premium, and at worst cancellation or no cover. Whilst we, at Willis IRM, are not in the position to provide an indication of premium or terms in respect of a medical condition (you must do this directly with the Provider’s medical referral quotation line), we want to ensure you are aware that you may be able to receive additional support by using the following service:
BIBA’s Travel Medical Directory. You can access this online at: https://biba.org.uk/travel-medical-directory. If you prefer to telephone the directory service you can telephone BIBA’s Find Insurance Service on 0370 950 1790.
This directory lists firms that provide, or arrange, travel insurance policies that cover more serious medical conditions. The service will also provide relevant information about each firm listed, allowing you to make an informed initial choice about which provider may meet your needs.
